Early rumors had the Browns talking trade with the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons before striking a deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Apparently the Giants laughed and hung up the phone while the Falcons said they'd rather wait for Michael Vick to get out of jail.
Maybe the Browns should have sent Charlie to Cincinnati, then dispatched someone to Bengals practice with a club to try out on Carson Palmer's reconstructed knee.
Apparently the Browns will receive a sixth-round draft pick from the Seahawks. This came as a surprise to Phil Savage, who was willing to accept three Venti Pumpkin Spice lattes and free shipping on all books about football coaching ordered through Amazon.com.

Yep... It's seems it is time to start the cycle over with Brady Quinn (Tim Couch in disguise). Why are we doomed to make the same mistakes over and over again. Didn't they learn in history that if you don't remember the past then history is doomed to repeat itself.
At least Couchie had Ty Detmer and Kelly Holcomb to lean on. Quinn gets Ken Dorsey.

Frye flat out stunk. No matter who he had to lean on past present or future, he stinks!!! good ridence to a complete stiff. How he made it into the league will forever remain a mystery.
Unfortunately, our beloved Browns have no depth. at most any position. we are still at square one from 9 years ago. If it weren't for bad luck, the Browns would have no luck at all. Think of all the potential players that have gone through the system in the last 9 years and where they are today.
We are like a prison for QBs. They go in and never come out the same and are damaged goods. maybe Quinn's the answer, but if we let him get killed like Couch, we may never know, and his potential may go unrealized. What a shame. I'm hoping for the best Sunday...that being that it doesn't rain, I find a spare $20 in some old jeans to cover our stadiums horrid concessions ($6.75 for a CUP of swill), and that my car doesn't get broken into. oh yeah....Go Browns. ;)
